Step out onto the water
Do you believe that you have a calling on your life and that you have a ministry that God has called you to?
If you are doubting and cannot immediately say yes, I want to tell you today that there is a calling on your life. There is a ministry that God has personally called you to.
Are you praying to be made ready? Are you are earnestly listening to God’s voice and stepping into where He is leading you? Or are you listening to lies that are saying you are not ready and that you should first be completely perfect before you can be used by God? I want to tell you today – that is exactly what it is – lies!
We are to pray earnestly and desire at all times to grow in it as we are walking in God’s will. Do not allow the enemy to use thoughts and lies to take advantage of you by making you believe that you have to wait around until you feel ready to step into your calling and ministry field.
Be watchful. If you have been following Jesus for a while and you have been serving Him and it’s been months and months that you have been waiting to be ready to be used by God – stop, the time is now. Pull those lies and strongholds down in the Mighty Name of Jesus. They are hindering you to truly step into God’s grace and abundance which He has in store for you.
“For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 AMP
If we know what we are called to do, but we choose not to, when we ignore the voice of God and we prioritize other things above God – we should be careful. Yes, God has called us to it, because He has made us purposefully for it. He chose our talents, our abilities and passions all for His will and plan for our life. Yes, He has so much grace and love as He walks with us in this journey, but if we keep on delaying and we keep on ignoring Him – there comes a time when He would raise somebody else up. Far be it from us that we would think that God’s plan will not prevail, because we don’t want to step into His plan. God will raise somebody else up, His purposes will prevail. It’s a calling, not a begging.
“O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken], Behold, O Lord, You know it all.”
Psalms 139:1-4 AMP
I want to encourage you. God knows you deeply. He loves you as you are, even as He is pursuing you to become what He has dreamt you to be. The likeness of His Son, Jesus. He cares about you affectionately and He cares about what you think. Choose today to surrender your insecurities, your own desires, your fears and dreams all into the careful hands of Father God and step into God’s marvelous grace and purpose He has for you.
